COOKIE POLICY
We inform You with transparency about the operation of the so-called “cookie” or “cookies” on this web site (hereinafter, the “Site”), pursuant to the provisions of Directive 2009/136/EC and those of the Italian Data Protection Authority (“Garante Privacy”) no. 229/2014.
Definition of “cookies”
Cookies are small text files (letters and/or numbers) sent by the Site to the user’s browser device (computer, tablet, smartphone), where they are stored and then retransmitted to the Site in the same user visit or the next time the same user visit it, even after days. Cookies are stored, based on user preferences.
Moreover, please note that further to the introduction of HTML5 also other local storage and similar technologies are available, as, for instance, web beacon and/or transparent GIF(s), that may be used to collect information on the user’s behavior and choices and on the use of services.
In this document, in order to simplify the user’s reading, we will use the term “cookie(s)” in order to refer to both cookie and/or cookies and similar technologies.
Kind of cookies
Based on the characteristics and the use of cookies we may distinguish between the two following macro-categories:
Technical, functional or session cookies. They are essential cookies that ensure the proper functioning of the Site. Their use is strictly limited to the user’s visit (i.e. once the browser is closed by the user they are cancelled), except for those cookies having a longer use – aimed exclusively at recognizing, for a limited period, the computer/device used by the visitor – through an alphanumeric code generated during the first access/login session.
The so-called “cookies analytics” are included among this category, to the extent (and only in case) that they are used in an aggregate way to collect and analyze the traffic and to monitor the performance and use of the site anonymously. Those cookies, even if they do not identify the user, allow, for instance, to detect if the same user re-connect to the Site at different times. They also allow to monitor the system to enhance its performances and usability. The use of these cookies is allowed also without the consent of the user.
Cookies for profiling. They are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously or not) the user’s preferences and to enhance his/her browse experience, through the creation of specific profiles and in order to send newsletter and/or commercial messages in line with the choices expressed by the same user in the context of his/her browser experience.
Cookies of third parties. The Site does not use cookies managed by “third parties”. However, the date inserted in certain sections of the Site may be collected and used, pursuant to the current applicable laws, by “third parties”. The use of the information collected by “third parties” is regulated by the relevant privacy policy, that can be requested by sending an email to the relevant data officer “Titolare del Trattamento dei Dati Personali” using the following e-mail address: info@xentas.com
Duration of cookies. Certain cookies (in-session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed. Other cookies “survive” when closing the browser and are available also in other user’s sessions. Those cookies are defined as persistent and their duration is fixed by the server at the moment of their creation. In certain cases a fixed term is set, in other cases their duration is unlimited. With the exception of the cookies which information are stored exclusively for technical reasons, the Site does not use persistent cookies.
Management of cookies. The user may decide to accept or not the cookies by using the settings of his/her browser. Additionally, certain browsers allow the user to set different settings for “proprietary” cookies and those of “third parties”. Through the options of the browser it can be possible to manage and define to accept or not different kind of cookies and to remove them. Attention: by completely disabling cookies in the browser, the user may not be able to use all the interactive features of the Site.
Communication and disclosure of information and data
All data and information collected by using cookies can be treated only by personnel specifically appointed by the relevant data officer “Titolare del Trattamento dei Dati Personali”. Moreover, such data and information can be communicated to “third parties”, to the extent (and only in case) that they will be specifically appointed as data controller for the execution of certain specific services (e.g. employees, consultants, services providers).
All data and information collected by using proprietary cookies cannot be disclosed and will not be sold to third parties. All data and information collected by using cookies of third parties can be transferred outside of the European Union.
